President: Another great Stiftungsfest

The Stiftungsfest Committee and Norwood Young America Fire Department would like to thank all who made this years celebration a huge success.
Despite the weather, Saturday’s attendance was one of the best, and the Big Tent had a large crowd all weekend. Johnny Holms and Squeezebox with Molly B. were two new bands under the Big Tent that were well attended.
The German Band was also fantastic.
The way our community pulls together and works to support this celebration is great.  Everyone should be proud of the good job they do.
The Stiftungsfest Committee owes a huge thanks to the German bands and the host families who welcomed band members into their home for the weekend. Thank you to the many volunteers and firefighters who put in a long week and weekend setting up and working the shifts. Thank you to the City of Norwood Young America for their continued support of Stiftungsfest.
And a huge thank you to the many businesses that support our Fireworks display…they were outstanding.
All proceeds from Stiftungsfest are given to the Norwood Young America Fire Department.
The fire department has been able to purchase equipment and training throughout the years because of the profits from Stiftungsfest.
Continue to check our website (www.stiftungsfest.org) throughout the next year for updates on next year’s celebration.
It’s great to see new people come to our community for the first time and leave impressed. It’s fun to see people who moved away from the area return annually for the celebration.
The Stiftungsfest Committee will work hard to put on another great celebration for next year.
