The Watertown-Mayer girls’ soccer team saw its three-game winning streak come to an last week with a 3-1 loss at Southwest Christian, and went on to split a pair of games later in the week.
The Royals responded to the loss at SWC with a 6-0 win over Glencoe-Silver Lake that coach Lindsey Rague described as the “best I’ve ever seen this group of girls play together.” The Royals closed the week with a 3-1 loss to St. Croix Lutheran.

This time, the Royals got six goals from six different players, including Barden, Katie Heilman, Allison Anderson, Claire Killian, Iffy Nwankwo and Miranda Boll, The game was never competitive as the Royals cruised to the 6-0 win.
“This was a phenomenal game for us,” Rague said. “From start to finish, offense to defense, we were solid, in control, and our intensity was up the entire game.”
The Royals closed the week with a 3-1 loss at St. Croix Lutheran. Anderson scored the lone goal for the Royals.
