Grant E. Maas, age 85, of Waconia, passed away Friday, Sept. 20, 2013 at the Elim Home in Watertown.
Funeral Service held Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Minnetrista Baptist Church in St. Bonifacius with Rev. John McNabb officiating; visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment Minnetrista Baptist Cemetery.
Grant was born on Nov. 22, 1927 in Minnetrista, Minn., the son of Adolph and Alma (Engler) Maas.
Grant enjoyed farming, mowing lawns, word puzzles, gardening and putzing in the work shop.
Grant is preceded in death by his wives Marjorie Stephens and Marjorie Maas; parents Adolph and Alma Maas; brother and sister-in-law Stanley and Theda Maas; Foster sister and brother-in-law May and Harold Johnson; step-daughter Troy Elston.
Grant is survived by; sons James Stephens of Ethel, Washington, Bob (Etsuko) Stephens of Poulsbo, Wash.; daughter Kay (Jack) Mills of Chehalis, Wash.; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; step-children Lorraine McGowan, Nick McGowan, Pat McGowan, Kim McGowan, Rocky McGowan, Jackie McGowan; many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Casket Bearers are Grants Nephews Richard Maas, Edward Maas, John Maas, David Maas, Mark Maas.
