Ann Maitri Lambrecht, age 48, local jewelry designer, known for her enthusiasm for friends, travel and art, died suddenly while on a trip to India with friends on Sept. 16, 2013.
Born Jan. 5, 1965, to Anne M. and George R. Lambrecht of Buffalo, Minn. (formerly Watertown). She was preceded in death by grandparents, Theodore and Theresa Salonek and George A. and Louise Lambrecht, as well as a nephew, Bryce Lambrecht. She is survived by parents, Anne and George; brothers, Joseph (Christa), Paul (Tracey), Jon (Sandy), Mike (Maile) and Nick (Jessica); nieces and nephews, Claire, Ava (Yoshi), Mya, Chelsie (Matt), Jacob, Collin, Andrew, Brooke, and Mia; Michael Morin, her life partner, along with Sarina and Kyle, their shared family; and a broad network of relatives and friends throughout the world.
Ann graduated from the University of Minnesota before setting off on what would become her lifes passion: exploring the world. In the years that followed, Ann traveled throughout Asia, Africa, Europe, and South America, generously sprinkling her magic along the way.
A public celebration of Anns life was held on Sept. 26, 2013, at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Ann Lambrecht Elan Design Scholarship fund.
