Central bowling team goes 2-0 at home meet

The Central bowling improved to 11-1 overall with match wins over Sibley East and Watertown at home on Thursday.
The Raiders are tied with Hutchinson (11-1) in the Mid Central Conference, while Mayer Lutheran is 2-10.
Overall, the Raiders have won 47 of 60 games with a team average of 157.88, while the Crusaders are 19-40-1 with a team average of 127.77.
Individually, Central is led by Matt Thom who has 68 strikes and 45 spares in 139 total frames and is on track for another Conference MVP.
Peter Schwichtenberg has 39 strikes and 41 spares in 114 total frames, on pace for seventh place and all-conference honors.
Also, Brian Krueger has 35 strikes and 33 spares in 107 frames, Curtis Urness has 20 and 26 in 80, Maddie Farrell has 15 and 40 in 101 and Blake Teubert has 19 and 33 in 102.
Mayer Lutheran’s Elizabeth Parrish is on pace for all-conference honors in eighth place with 39 strikes and 50 spares in 135 total frames.
Also, Joel Wacker has 17 and 41 in 114, Nick Lundgren has 18 and 17 in 74, Jon Chapa has 19 and 30 in 104, Connor Wisch has 15 and 21 in 98, Noah Elliott has one and 11 in 52, Amanda Trost has one and seven in 42 and Emily Meyer has bowled eight total frames.
Hutchinson hosted the next meet on Tuesday, with Mayer Lutheran facing Central in match one and LHS playing Watertown with Central receiving a bye in the second match.
They then compete at a meet in Watertown this afternoon before traveling to Sibley East on Tuesday, Oct. 15.
