Parry Larson was nominated by CHS staff and voted as Senior Student of the Month for September 2013. Criteria used for the selection was academic progress, responsibility, school spirit, personal growth and character.
Parry was chosen for her hard work in choir and Student Council. She is always on task and helping others in her section. She has a get–up–and–go attitude and always focuses on doing her best. She is a positive example, strong leader, and is willing to help those in need in her school and community.
Her plans after high school include attending college and participating in music programs. She plans on majoring in music therapy with a possible double major in music education, with plans of eventually attaining a doctorate degree.
Parry’s advice to underclassmen or peers is to not let other people wreck your day. You decide if your day is going to be a bad one or a good one.
Her favorite hobbies include music (singing, playing or listening to), running and volunteering. She also enjoys hanging out with friends and reading.
Parry takes part in many activities and classes at Central High School. One of them is AP Literature and Composition with Mrs. Ide.
The class is small and they learn about poetry and participate in entertaining vocabulary activities while sitting on the floor. She also enjoys cross country and track because she loves to run and be part of a team. And last but not least, she enjoys choir because she loves to sing.
Parry is the daughter of Peter and Pam Larson.
