Trinity Fall Harvest Party

Fri, Oct. 25, 6 p.m.. – Families are invited to celebrate the season with a taco dinner, games, treats, pumpkin decorating and It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown! Hanson’s Haunted Barn

Sat., Oct. 26, 6:30-9:30 p.m. – Hanson’s Haunted Barn is free and all are welcome. Wagon rides through the haunted woods from 6:30-9:30 p.m. Kid’s activities from 6:30-9 p.m. Haunted barn tours from 7-9 p.m., or until the line ends. Food donations for Friends For Life Food Shelf and monetary donations to Feed My Starving Children. Hanson’s Fun Farm is at 14880 50th St. in Mayer.


Zion Fall Festival

Sat., Oct. 26, 2-4 p.m. – Zion Lutheran Church and School, Mayer, invites all area children and their families, through grade 6, to attend Zion’s Fall Festival in the Zion School gym. Non-violent, (not scary) costumes are welcomed and encouraged. This is a great opportunity to meet new families in our community; bring your neighbors and friends. Boos on the River

Sat., Oct. 26, 7 p.m. – Booooos on the River Food Drive Costume Party and Dance. Sponsored by the Delano Jaycees. 21+ event, best costume cash prizes for first, second and third place. Free will cover charge, with proceeds benefiting local food shelves. Please bring a food shelf item to help fill the shelves for the upcoming holiday season. Nachito Herrera Jazz Concert

Sat., Oct. 26, 7:30 p.m. – The Watertown-Area Fine Arts Council is hosting Nachito Herrera and Friends for a jazz concert at the Watertown-Mayer Performing Arts Center. Tickets are available online at the school district’s Web site,, or at any of the following locations: Watertown Fuel and Food, Marketplace Foods, Citizens Alliance Bank, Watertown and Spring Park Pharmacies, Bremer Bank-Watertown.


Boy scout wreath sales

Sat., Oct. 26. – The Watertown-Mayer Boy Scout Troop 209 will be selling wreaths.  If interested please contact Scoutmaster Phil Maki at 952-297-6029 by October 26th.


ECFE Fall Harvest Party

Sat., Oct. 26, 9:30-11:15 a.m. – The Early Family Childhood Education Fall Harvest Party will be held at the Watertown-Mayer Primary School.  Kids are welcome to come in costume.


KC Breakfast

Sun, Oct. 27, 8 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. – Knights of Columbus Council 2506 will serve a breakfast of pancakes, French toast and sausage at St. Joseph parish center in Waconia. Take out available. Proceeds are divided to the three parishes in the council: St.Bernards of Cologne, St. Joseph of Waconia and St.Victoria of Victoria.


St. Paul’s coat drive

Sun., Oct. 27, noon – 2 p.m. – St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Watertown is collecting coats, mittens, gloves, hats and boots for families in need in Watertown. If you would like to donate the collection dates are: Sunday Oct. 20 & 27, noon – 2 p.m. If you are donating used items please have them in good condition with zipper and buttons working, clean and no stains. Our second annual coat drive is Saturday, Nov. 2, 9-11:30 a.m. This gift to the community is very much appreciated.



Sun., Oct. 27, 3-5 p.m. – Lyndale Lutheran Church wants to welcome all community children to our spooktacular Trunk-N-Treat event! 8012 Co. Rd 6, Maple Plain, (on the corner of Co. Rd 6 & Co. Rd 92)   We can’t wait to see you!!


Chamber Trick or Treat

Thur., Oct. 31, 4-6 p.m. –  The Watertown Area Chamber of Commerce will be holding its annual trick or treat event at local businesses.


Pumpkin Contest

Thur, Oct. 31 –  Open to all ages.  All carved, painted, and other decorated pumpkins welcome and will be on display at River City Theatre Company’s trick or treat location at the park in downtown Watertown (235 Lewis Ave S).  Drop off your pumpkin and completed entry form on Oct. 30 at Marketplace Foods or on Oct. 31 between 2-4 p.m. at the park.  All pumpkins will be released at 6 p.m. on Halloween.  Prizes will be awarded in several categories. Please stop by our booth during the Watertown Area Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Downtown Trick or Treat Event Oct. 31 from 4-6 p.m. to vote for your favorite pumpkin!  Winners will be announced on RCTC’s Facebook page ( on Halloween after all votes have been counted.  Questions?  Contact [email protected]


Holiday Open Studio

Nov. 2-3 – Featuring the artwork of Amanda Doster and other area artisans. Technique demonstrations, craft sale, and refreshments will be offered throughout each day. All are welcome! Kingery Family Singers

Sun., Nov. 3, 5 p.m. – Faith Community Church of Independence will be hosting the Kingery Family Singers at their Annual Pre-Thanksgiving Concert and pie fellowship. Mike and Chris Kingery and their eight children sing and minister together through music.  They sing primarily gospel bluegrass music “while also incorporating fiddle, patriotic, Americana and a Capella. The concert is free, but an offering will be received. Faith Community Church is located one mile west of Maple Plain at the intersection of U. S. Highway 12 and County Road 90.


Children’s Art Auction/Spaghetti Lunch

Sun., Nov. 3, 9 a.m. – St. Peter Lutheran Church of Watertown (3030 Navajo Ave) will be holding a Children’s Artwork Auction and Spaghetti Luncheon. The auction will start after the 9 a.m. service, and entertainment will be provided by the youth group. the meal starts at 11:15 a.m. and includes salad, spaghettie and meat sauce, garlic bread, ice cream sundae or sherbert, coffee, milke and lemonade. A free will offering will be collected. A portion of the proceeds will be used to support Pastor and Barb Laab’s Robin’s Nest Children’s Home Mission. Magic and More

Nov. 4-6 – Homeward Bound Theatre Company will offer “Magic and More” Mon., Nov. 4 through Wed., Nov. 6, from 6-7:30 p.m. at Watertown-Mayer Middle School. Sixth through eighth graders will amaze their family and friends when they share with them illusionary secrets and much more. Participants will learn how to do the basic tricks they are familiar with, as well as new ones! Internet Basics Class

Nov. 6, 6-8 p.m. – Learn: how to access the Internet, use the tool bar, search for information, and Internet safety tips. Classes held at the Watertown Library. Prerequisite is the computer basics class offered in October. Call 952-955-2939 to register.


‘All Hands on Deck!’
