Royals’ Miller runs at state meet

Watertown-Mayer senior Liz Miller capped off her varsity cross country career last weekend with her third consecutive trip to the Class A state meet in Northfield.

Miller was the only Royal to compete at the meet, held on the campus of St. Olaf College. Miller finished in 134th place by finishing the 4-kilometer course in a time of 16:49.7. There were 174 runners competing.

Cannon Falls senior Emi Trost won the Class A individual title. She finished with a time of 14:40.3, winning by more than 10 seconds over St. Paul Academy’s Mary Naas.

The team title went to Annandale, which scored 85 points to beat out second-place Lac Qui Parle Valley, which finished with 113 points.
