Brandon Fabel

Brandon Fabel was nominated by Central High School staff and voted as Senior Student of the Month for October 2013. Criteria used for the selection was academic progress, responsibility, school spirit, personal growth and character.
His plans after high school include attending a four-year college to earn an undergraduate degree in business or political science then go on to law school.
Brandon’s advice to underclassmen or peers is to give 110 percent in everything you do. Brandon feels that if someone gives their all, and puts in the time, a good result will follow, and you also will be able to live with no regrets, knowing you put forth full effort and did your best.
Brandon has many interests and it’s reflected in what he’s participated in. He enjoys playing football, lifting weights and golfing. He is also involved with speech, FFA, NHS, Student Council, Knowledge Bowl, Student Advisory Council, Band, Boy Scouts, and community service.
He’s held many leadership roles in these organizations, such as captain of football, golf, speech and Knowledge Bowl teams as well as vice president of the student advisory council and FFA, senior class president and NHS President. He is also an Eagle Scout.
He encourages others to be involved in school activities because it offers lessons that can’t be taught in the classroom. Some of his hobbies include working as a lifeguard, fishing, hunting, playing fantasy football and just spending time with friends and family.
Brandon’s favorite activity at Central High School is his involvement with FFA because of the many different activities students can get involved  in.
“Many just think of the different agricultural activities, but there are other things such as Prepared Public Speaking, Parliamentary Procedure, and forestry,” he said.
He credits these activities with improving his knowledge and making him  more well-rounded. He states that Mr. Mesik does such a good job at helping members succeed, and provides an example to guide the program in a positive direction.
He enjoyed participating in Prepared Public Speaking at The National Convention against some of the best competition in the country. He also enjoyed the football team bonding together this past fall, at the right time to make a playoff run, which he will cherish for the rest of his life.
Brandon is the son of Kent and Lisa Fabel.
