Spend an afternoon with Santa in the Park

It’s here, the best time of the year! Carver County Parks is excited to announce the annual Santa in the Park Event!
Spend time with the whole family participating in a variety of family focused holiday activities on Saturday, Dec. 14 between 3 to 5 p.m. at Lake Minnewashta Regional Park — located on TH 41 between TH 5 and TH7 in Chanhassen. Once at the park, look for Santa’s Park workshop, which is the second building on the left as you head towards the off-leash dog area.
The fun filled holiday event provides a variety of indoor and outdoor activities that the family is sure to enjoy.
Event participants can expect (weather conditions permitting) free cross country ski trials, historic ornament craft projects with the Carver County Historical Society staff, holiday trivia and carnival games, an outside “Santa face search,” holiday treat decorating, holiday face painting and much more. New at this year’s event and in partnership Mustard Seed Landscaping and Garden Center in Chaska, event participants will enjoy meeting one of Santa’s reindeer!
Santa will be in his park workshop for kids to make their last minute wishes so, bring your camera for a photograph. This event is primarily indoors, with a bonfire outside to keep people warm after enjoying the beautiful winter conditions of the park. Fee for the event is $7 per child, which includes daily vehicle park permit.
Families are also encouraged to bring a new unwrapped toy to be donated to the CAP Agency for families in need this holiday season.
