Day of Prayer

Thur., Dec. 5, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. –  The Council of Catholic Women invite all area women to our annual Deanery Advent Day of Prayer to be held at Christ the King Retreat Center, 621 First Ave. S., Buffalo. The day beings with registration at 9 a.m. and ends at 3 p.m. The topic for the day will be “We Walk By Faith.” For reservations call Nancy at 763-682-1394.


Elim Christmas Boutique

Dec. 5-7 –  All proceeds from the Elim Rehab and Care Christmas Boutique go to resident activities. Features gift baskets, homemade jewelry, ornaments, crafts, scarves, home decor, greeting cards, and a bake sale each day. Gift ideas for everyone! Thursday, Dec. 4, from noon to 4 p.m., Friday, Dec. 6, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturday, Dec. 7, from 9 a.m. to noon.


Christmas Madrigal Dinners

Dec. 6-8 –  For a 19th and last time Watertown Evangelical Free Church is presenting its Christmas Madrigal Dinners.  In the festive atmosphere of a medieval royal banquet hall, guests enjoy a delicious feast accompanied by mirth and entertainment, and concluding with the wondrous story of Christmas told through music and drama. Performances are Friday, Dec. 6 at 7 p.m.; Saturday, Dec. 7 at 7 p.m.; and Sunday, Dec. 8 at 6 p.m. Tickets and reservations are required. Call Joy at 952-955-3250 after 5:30 pm or leave a voicemail during the day. She will return your call and confirm your reservation.


Santa Day in Watertown

Sat., Dec. 7, 9 a.m. – noon –  Children can visit with Santa, write letters to Santa, shop at the Kid’s Holiday Shop, and other fun activities at the Watertown Community Center.



Sun., Dec. 8, 5-8 p.m. – St. Peter Lutheran Church of Watertown will be holding its third Nikolausabend. A complimentary buffet meal of mini bratwurst, baked chicken, mashed potatoes, spatzle, gravy corn, red cabbage, sauerkraut and homemade Christmas cookies will be available. Kids Christmas crafts, and a visit from Nikolaus will be included in the event. Attendees are asked to each bring either a toy or monetary donation for Toys for Tots and local families in need. Christmas Concert

Sun., Dec. 8, 4 p.m. – The choirs of Trinity Lutheran Church in Watertown will present a concert, Canticle of Christmas. Enjoy music by the adult Worship Choir, children’s Chapel Choir, and the handbell choir.  Refreshments and fellowship will follow the concert.


RCTC “Little Women” Auditions

Mon., Dec. 9, 6-9 p.m. – River City Theatre Company is excited to announce our winter 2014 production, Little Women! Music Advent Service

Wed., Dec. 11, 6:45 p.m. – The public is invited to a Music Advent Service at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Watertown. This worship service will include scripture readings, adult choir, praise band, duets, and soloists from within the congregation. St. Pauls is located at 505 Westminster Ave SW, Watertown.


Women’s Winter Escape

Sun., Dec. 15, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. – The Montrose Royal Ambassador Committee invites you to attend the 2nd Annual Women’s Winter Escape, an expo style event, at the Montrose Community Center. Free admission, door prizes, and gift bags given to the first 50 women.


ICC Potluck Dinner

Sun., Dec. 15, 11:45 a.m. – Please join us for a “Food and Fellowship” pot luck luncheon immediately following the 10:30 a.m. mass. Enjoy a break from hectic holiday pace, some “old-fashioned” visiting time, a home cooked meal, and sing a few Christmas carols together. Serving begins at about 11:45 a.m.


Children’s Christmas Program

Wed., Dec. 18, 7 p.m. – Peace Lutheran Church of Watertown, 600 Kristi Lane, will be presenting the Children’s Christmas Program “Where’s the line to see Jesus.” This is a free event and the public is invited to witness the real Christmas story unfold through the children of Peace. The program begins with the commercial focus of Christmas and turns the focus back to the story of Jesus’ birth and the true meaning of Christmas. Treats and beverages will be served by the children’s parents after the program.


Watertown Blood Drive

Mon., Dec. 30, noon – 6 p.m. – The Watertown Blood Drive will be held at the Community Center, 309 Lewis Ave. S. For appointments or more information, call Diane at 952-955-2847. All presenting donors will receive a commemorative American Red Cross T-shirt while supplies last. Please bring voter ID or donor card.
