Mayer News for Dec. 12

Fourteen senior citizens and one guest enjoyed the pot luck dinner and Christmas party on Monday at the Mayer Community Center. The game of Cunbo was played after the meal. We had a gift exchange before going home. Our first gathering of 2014 will be held on Monday, Jan. 6, at 11:30 a.m.

There will be a Cookie Walk from 9 a.m. until noon on Sunday, Dec. 15, at the school. A free will offering will be taken. This is a good chance for you to purchase some homemade cookies for the holidays.

Snow Parking

The no parking rule is in effect now that we have our first snowfall of the season. There is to be no parking on city streets after a snowfall of one inch or more until all the roads are cleared of snow.
