What to do with your Christmas tree?

Starting Saturday, Dec. 28, you can bring your Christmas tree to the compost site for disposal. The garbage man will not take your tree. Please remove all lights, ornaments, bags and tinsel. No artificial trees or wreathes will be accepted. All Saturdays in January will be open for tree disposal. Hours of operation will be from 8 a.m. to noon.

Seniors pot luck

The January senior citizens pot-luck dinner will be held on Monday, Jan. 6. Serving time will be at 11:30 a.m. Bring your favorite dish to share and someone to share it with.

Dates of Importance

There will be garbage and recycle pickup on Saturday, Jan. 4, not Friday the 3rd, because of the New Year holiday. Have bins at curbside by 7 a.m.

Mayer Moxie starts Jan. 16. If you haven’t already signed up for the program, it is time to do so. Call the city offices at 952-657-1502 to make your intentions known.
