Wrestling/BB salt sale
The Waconia wrestling and baseball teams have kicked off their annual spring water softener salt sale. Residents who live in ISD #110 can order salt and have it delivered to their homes on Saturday, April 26. Three types of softener salt are available: coarse, pellet and iron. St. Boniface breakfast
SUNDAY, MARCH 2 – A Pancake, Waffle and Sausage Breakfast will be held in the St. Boniface school gym in St. Bonifacius from 8:30 a.m. to noon. Includes bake sale and a quilt raffle. Zion Spaghetti Dinner
SUNDAY, MARCH 2 – A Silent Auction and Spaghetti Dinner will be held at Zion Lutheran School in Mayer from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Silent auction: 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Proceeds will be used to aid seventh/eighth students with their 2016 trip to Washington D.C.
SUNDAY, MARCH 2 – A breakfast will be held at Emanuel Lutheran Church (18175 CR 50) in Hamburg from 10 a.m to 12:30 p.m. Menu: Pancakes, sausage, applesauce, mini muffins and beverage. All profits donated to “The Greatest Journey” through Samaritans Purse. Supplemental funds from Thrivent.
MARCH 3-4 – The Carver/Scott Master Gardeners will be teaching a class on gardening in the shade on March 3 and a class on designing-redesigning your landscape on March 4 at the Waconia Library at 6:30 p.m. No registration / fee is required to attend.
Princess, hero party
TUESDAY, MARCH 4 – ISD #110 ECFE is hosting a Princess and Super Hero Party for families with young children to help celebrate Jillian Taylor’s 5th birthday on March 6. At the time Taylor was diagnosed with leukemia in spring 2013, she was enrolled in ECFE Preschool and has since had numerous chemo therapy treatments. The event is from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the Southview gym. Princess Nicole from www.PrincessPartyPals.com will share stories and songs, plus a variety of party games are being planned. CUF Mass, Breakfast
SUNDAY, MARCH 9 – St. Joseph, Waconia Catholic United Council members will attend 9 a.m. Mass with breakfast served in the Parish Center afterwards. All members encouraged to attend; 50 year members will be honored.

Suicide support group
TUESDAY, MARCH 11 – The Suicide Bereavement Support Group meets at 6:30 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month at the Waconia Moravian Church (209 E 2nd St.). Open to anyone who has lost a loved one to suicide.

Cards for Soldiers
SATURDAY, MARCH 22 – Give back to the men and women who are serving the country by attending the Cards for Soldiers event at Cologne Academy. Sponsored by the Cologne Lions, it begins at 9 a.m. and ends when everyone is finished.
