Michael Coyle, 34

Michael Patrick Coyle, 34, of Waukesha, Wis., passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 26, at Columbia St. Marys Hospital in Milwaukee, Wis.
Michael Patrick Coyle was born on May 8, 1979, in Waconia. He is the son of Steven and Cheryl (Dvorak) Coyle. Michael was baptized on June 3, 1979, by Father Karels, Church of the Ascension in Norwood Young America. Michael received his first communion on April 5, 1987, and confirmed in his faith on March 29, 1990, by Bishop Ham, St. Bernards Catholic Church in Cologne. He attended school at St. Bernards Catholic School in Cologne through the sixth grade. Michael then graduated from Central High School in Norwood Young America with the class of 1997.
He went on to further his education, earning degrees in mechanical and electrical engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineering. Prior to his 2003 graduation, he started work as an intern with Harley-Davidson Motorcycles. For the past eight years, Michael worked for GE Dresser Waukesha Engine in Waukesha, Wis.
Michael earned Eagle Scout in 1997 and went to Boys State. Michael was always an articulate speaker; active in speech, drama, wrestling, and cross county in high school. He was also a member of the National Honor Society. Michael was a swim instructor for many years and a volunteer at Milwaukee Discovery World, where he used his scuba diving skills to maintain the large aquatic tank and entertain and educate Discovery World guests.
Michael was dedicated to environmental issues. As an active member of GEs Eco-magination Team, he was passionate about the teams eco projects. As a talented musician, he was a bass guitarist in three bands; music was his outlet. Above all, he cherished the time he spent with his family in Minnesota.
Following an accident, Michael passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 26, at Columbia St. Marys Hospital in Milwaukee, at the age of 34 years, 9 months, 18 days.
He will be dearly missed.
Michael is survived by his parents, Steven and Cheryl Coyle of Norwood Young America; sisters, Megan Simonson and her husband, Josh, of Delano and Mary Reiter and her husband, David, of Rochester; grandfather, Raymond Dvorak of Minnetonka; nieces and nephews, Kayla, Liam, and Noah Simonson of Delano, Lily and Jackson Reiter of Rochester; brother in spirit, Jon Gordon of Clinton, Wis.; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Michael is preceded in death by his sister, Michelle Coyle; grandparents, Marjorie Dvorak, Hugh and Amy Coyle; and godfather, Dean Coyle.
Mike treasured time spent playing with and teaching his nieces and nephews.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials to Mikes Miracle Living Legacy, Klein Bank, Norwood Young America, preferred. To honor Mikes dedication to lifelong learning, your memorial will fund educational accounts for his nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 12, at Church of the Ascension in Norwood Young America. Interment will be at a later date. Father Gregory Abbott and Father Paul Ardolf officiated the service.
