Watertown Senior Club

Peace Lutheran program
Wednesdays – “JAM! Jesus and Me!” is a program designed to help kids think bigger, better and grander thoughts about God. They’ll learn about the gospel and how to build Christian relationships with others. The afternoon is for kids in grades 1-5 to grow in their own relationship with Jesus. WEFC Children’s Program
Wednesday evenings – Children are welcome to join Watertown Evangelical Free Church to learn and share about God. Evening includes stories, music, games and love for Jesus Christ. Whether your child is in Hoppers (born on or before 9/1/11 and potty trained – Pre K) or JWJ – Journey with Jesus (K-6th grade), they will love the friendships they gain with their peers and joy they will feel learning and sharing about God.  All denominations welcome. Hot Dinner at St. Paul’s

Crow River Soccer
Crow River Soccer Club’s Rec Soccer registration closes April 20 for U5-U8. Cost includes jersey, skills and games in non-competitive league. Register online at crowriversoccer.com. Discount if registered by April 4. Held at Watertown-Mayer Middle School on Tuesday and Thursday evenings starting May 20, ending with Jamboree on July 20.

NAMI meeting
Thurs., March 20, 7 p.m. – The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) support group will meet at the Waconia Moravian Church (209 2nd St. E).

‘Aging Parents’ presentation
Thurs., March 20, 7:15 to 8 p.m. – The presentation “Managing the Needs of Aging Parents” will be offered at Waconia City Hall. Whether your parents are active and healthy or their needs are beginning to increase, this presentation will help you be prepared for the future with information and resources. Ridgeview ‘Come Together’
Sat., March 22, 9 a.m. to noon – The 10th annual Ridgeview Friends & Family “Come Together” Event will be held at Safari Island Community Center in Waconia. St. John Beef Dinner
Sun., March 23, 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. – St. John Lutheran Church of Hollywood will hold a Beef Dinner at the church (17725 53rd St., New Germany). Proceeds benefit St. John 150th Anniversary Fund. Plans are underway to celebrate on July 19, 2015.

Public Health Shot Clinic
Mon., March 24, 3 to 5 p.m. – Carver County Public Health (600 E 4th St., Chaska) provides immunizations, or shots, to residents who don’t have health insurance or whose insurance does not cover shots. Shots for adults and children available. Fee is requested for each shot, but no one will be denied service if unable to pay. Information or appointment: (952) 361-1329.
Jam the Gym event
Sat., March 29, 4:30 p.m. – The Tim Orth Memorial Foundation will hold its 16th annual Jam the Gym basketball / silent auction fundraising event at Glencoe-Silver Lake High School. Czestochowa breakfast
Sun., March 30, 9 a.m. to noon – The Delano Council 4653 Knights of Columbus and the St. Mary of Czestochowa Men’s Club will be having a waffle, sausage and French toast breakfast at St. Mary of Czestochowa church (1867 95th St off County rd 13, rural Delano).  Proceeds benefit the St. Mary of Czestochowa CCD program.

Tree of Life Hymn Festival
Sun., March 30 – Trinity Lutheran Church in Watertown celebrates hymns of faith and the season’s arrival of spring, at its 8:15 and 10:30 a.m. services. Joining the Worship Choir and congregation with special music is soprano Lauren Lammers, a Berneking Scholar graduate of the University of Minnesota with a Master’s in Vocal Performance. The Tree of Life Hymn Festival services are under the direction of Joyce Harding, Minister of Music at Trinity Lutheran.

‘Light up the Night’ event
Friday, April 4, 5 to 8 p.m. – The Watertown-Mayer PTO is sponsoring the Light up the Night Spring Fundraiser at Watertown-Mayer High School (gyms and cafeteria). Fun for the whole family! Silent auction, “Taste of Watertown” meal for whole family, student basketball games, bingo with prizes, “Let’s Make a Deal” game show with prizes and more.

LHS production
April 4-6 – The Mayer Lutheran High School Drama Department will perform “The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe,” a dramatization of the book by C. S. Lewis, at 7 p.m. April 4-5 and at 2 p.m. and April 6 at the Mayer Lutheran Fine Arts Center. General Admission tickets available at the door.

Pet Adoption Event

62nd annual Dairy Day Dinner
Sat., April 5 – The 62nd annual Carver County Dairy Day Dinner and Princess Coronation will be held under the theme “Join our Team in 2014!” at the Cologne Community Center. Faith Renewal / Parish Mission
April 6-10 – A Faith Renewal/Parish Mission will be held at the Catholic parishes of St. Boniface and St. Mary of Czestochowa from April 6-10. The theme, God’s Wondrous Love, will be presented by Fr. Lon Konold, OMI. Easter Fun in Mayer
Saturday, April 12, 10 a.m. to noon – The Mayer-Watertown DandyLions invite all kids to the club’s annual Easter Event held at the Mayer Community Center. There will be games, prizes, refreshments and photos with the Easter Bunny.

Ladies Golf League
Starts late April – Golfers of all levels are invited to join the nine-hole Lakeview Ladies of Timber Creek golf league that plays every Wednesday morning at Timber Creek Golf Course in Watertown, starting in late April.
