Wrestling/BB salt sale
The Waconia wrestling and baseball teams have kicked off their annual sp ring water softener salt sale. Residents who live in ISD #110 can order salt and have it delivered to their homes on Saturday, April 26. Three types of softener salt are available: coarse, pellet and iron. WHA Ice Out Event
FRIDAY, MARCH 28 – The public is invited to attend the Waconia Hockey Association’s annual fundraiser event from 6 p.m. to midnight at the Waconia Ice Arena. Event includes 80s music, game show entertainment, beer and wine tasting, appetizers and raffle drawings. 80s attire is not required, but prizes awarded for the best dressed. SUNDAY, MARCH 30 – Trinity Lutheran Church (513 Madison SE) in Watertown celebrates hymns of faith and the season’s arrival of spring, at its 8:15 and 10:30 a.m. services. Joining the Worship Choir and congregation with special music is soprano Lauren Lammers, a Berneking Scholar graduate of the University of Minnesota with a Master’s in Vocal Performance. The Tree of Life Hymn Festival services are under the direction of Joyce Harding, Minister of Music at Trinity Lutheran.
‘Save Sidco’ fundraiser
SUNDAY, MARCH 30 – Sidco 4×4, an automotive business in Glencoe, burned to the ground on Jan. 20. To help the business rebuild, a family-friendly bake sale fundraiser will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. at Lola’s Lakehouse in Waconia. Games, face painting and crazy hair for kids. Early Childhood screen.
APRIL 3-4 – Early Childhood Screening is offered by District 110 staff that checks a child’s overall development and health. Recommended screening age is between the ages of 3 1/2 and 4 years. SATURDAY, APRIL 5 – Gary C. Newton, a professor at Crown College in St. Boni, recently published the children’s book “The Adventures of Spunky and Dunky and Buddy Bear: Rescued at Last.” He will hold a book signing and story reading at Mocha Monkey in downtown Waconia. Newton will read the story at 4, 4:30, 5, 5:30 and 6 p.m.
Faith Renewal event
APRIL 6-10 – A Faith Renewal/Parish Mission will be held at the Catholic parishes of St. Boniface and St. Mary of Czestochowa from April 6-10. The theme, God’s Wondrous Love, will be presented by Fr.
