The Wind Ensemble performed “First Suite in E-Flat” by Gustav Holst, and “I AM” by Andrew Boysen Jr.  It earned Superior ratings from all three judges, which gave the ensemble an overall rating of Superior.
The Concert Band performed “Pentland Hills” by Jimmy Howe, “Amazing Grace” by Frank Ticheli and “Into the Raging River” by Steven Reineke. The band earned one Superior Rating and two Excellent Ratings for an overall Excellent Rating.
According to WHS band director John Pohland, both groups received very positive comments from all three judges.
