Linda (Karels) Mueller, 63

Linda Ann (Karels) Mueller, 63, of Hamburg, passed away Friday, March 28, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.
Linda Mueller was born on May 9, 1950, in Watertown. She was the daughter of Fred and Hulda (Bartels) Karels. Linda was baptized as an infant on June 4, 1950, by Pastor L. Wohlfeil and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth on March 22, 1964, by Pastor P. Brill both at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Hamburg. She received her education at the Emanuel Lutheran Parochial School and then graduated from Mayer Lutheran High School with the Class of 1968.
Linda was united in marriage to Larry Mueller on Oct. 30, 1971, at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Hamburg by Pastor L. Meyer. Linda and Larry made their home in Hamburg. Their marriage was blessed with two children, Stephanie and Nathan.
Linda retired in October 2012 from Carver County after 25 years of service. She was a member at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Hamburg.
Linda enjoyed knitting and gardening, having a fondness for hostas. She loved going up north to their trailer in Walker, having made many memories there, but perhaps her greatest joy was her grandchildren, they had captured her heart.
Linda passed away on Friday, March 29, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, at the age of 63 years, 10 months and 19 days.

Linda is survived by her husband, Larry Mueller of Hamburg; daughter, Stephanie Williams and her husband, Scott, of Winsted; son, Nathan Mueller and his wife, Jennifer, of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Max Mueller and Alex Williams; mother-in-law, Lorraine Mueller of Gaylord; brothers and sisters-in-law, Susan Tessmer and her husband, Randy, of Gaylord, Chuck Mueller and his special friend, Kathy, of Lake Crystal and Lavern Graupmann of Hamburg; nieces and nephews, Scott Karels and his wife, Denann, of Hamburg, Jodi Hilgers and her husband, Dan, of Minnetonka, Craig Tessmer and his wife, Janna, of Gaylord; and other relatives and many friends.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Hulda Karels; father-in-law, Edward Mueller; brothers, Frederick Fritz Karels and Louis John Karels.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
Memorial services were held Wednesday, April 2, at 11 a.m., at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Hamburg, with interment following at the church cemetery. Pastor Donald Andrix officiated the service with organist Cheryl Andrix. Congregational Hymns were Beautiful Savior and In Thee Is Gladness. Nathan Mueller served as urn bearer.
