Check-in and networking start at 12:30 p.m. Presentations and panel discussions start at 1 p.m. and will be followed by a session on building awareness and new ideas.
“Our annual update is a great opportunity for people to learn more about existing community projects,” said Khai Tran, A Better Society Founder and Board Chairman. “It also provides a venue for networking and sharing ideas for new projects. The goal is for people to learn about new projects, to be inspired, and to get involved.”
This year, Chanhassen Mayor Tom Furlong will open the event and talk about the importance of community service. With the focus for this year’s event being homelessness, seven organizations will provide an overview of their programs and a Q&A session will follow.
Past events included attendees from businesses, government agencies, nonprofit organizations, schools, and congregations, as well as individuals from the community.
