Watertown-Mayer High School will present its spring play, “Murder’s In The Heir,” at 7 p.m. this Thursday, Friday and Saturday, April 10-12. The show is a comedic murder mystery where members of the audience vote at intermission for who they would like to be the murderer.
In the play, Simon Starkweather has decided to leave his heirs and house staff a small inheritance compared to his billion dollar wealth, and use his money to essentially live forever! The heirs and house staff are all suspect when the billionaire turns up dead before he can sign his new will. All have great motive to murder the billionaire so it’s up to the audience to decide who is most likely.
“This play has been a challenge for the actors,” said director Joyce Peterson. “They have all had to learn the killer’s lines, as well as the blocking for the ending. I hope the audience enjoys choosing the murderer as much as they have all had playing the different roles.”
The cast includes Zack Eliason, Hannah Kroeger, Brent Unowsky, Kathryn Jorgenson, Charlie Chadwick, Brigit Larkin, Ashley Preston, Sammi Elsenpeter,  Mackenzie Farber, Michael Herzog, Meagan Campbell, Kira Hazelbaker, Ella May, Katie Hillman, Jonathon Vouk, Rebecca Czech, Theressa Solberg, Josiah Aldrich, Jacob Oak, Heidi First, Billy Peterson, Rochelle Dressel, Ashley Sutton, Madeline Coyle, Tierney Nichols and Jodi First.
Stage crew are Coralie Swedberg, Mady Anderson and Makayla Bogema. Technicle crew are Zeke Cartland, Grace Kroeger, Keane Nowlan and Matt Maisch.
Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for students. Children 5 and under are admitted free. Tickets are available at the door each night of the show.
