St. Paul’s CANTATA
Fri., April 18, 7 p.m. – The CANTATA “We Remember Calvary,” the passion story through music and drama, will be presented at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church (505 Westminster Ave.) in Watertown.Adult choir, drama, and narration will paint a vivid and moving picture of Christ’s last days and His journey to the cross.
St. Paul’s Easter Egg Hunt
Sat., April 19, 10 a.m. to noon – The 5th annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church (505 Westminster Ave. SW) in Watertown. Hunt begins at 10:15 a.m. In case of inclement weather, the event will be held at Christ Community Lutheran School in Watertown. Bring food or personal care items for the Friends for Life Food Shelf. Don’t forget to bring an Easter basket.
Book signing event
Sat., April 19, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. – Author Jan Dunlap of Chaska will hold a book signing for her new book, “Saved by Gracie: How a rough-and-tumble rescue dog dragged me back to health, happiness, and God,” at Jim Gilbert’s Wild Bird Store in Waconia. Info: jandunlap.com.

German Class fundraiser
April 23-25 – The WMHS German Class (10+ families) is having a garage sale fundraiser to defray costs of its German Trip in June 2014. The sale will be held at the building behind Snap Fitness (605 N Lewis Ave, Watertown) from 3 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 23 and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 24 and Friday, April 25. Lions Gala Dinner
Fri., April 25, 6 to 10 p.m. – Area Lions clubs, including St. Boni, present the Magic Gala Dinner Event at BayView Event Center in Excelsior. Goal: raise $23,000 to send 15 children with diabetes to Camp Needlepoint to magically transform isolated children into normal kids for a couple of weeks each year. The magic of this work helps change a child’s life by teaching them how to survive this manageable disease while still being able to be a child. Tickets: lionscrappiecontest.org.
Lions Crappie Contest
Sat., April 26, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. – Area Lions clubs, including St. Boni, present the 2014 Lions Crappie Contest at BayView Event Center in Excelsior. A Service of Remembrance
Sat., April 26, 7 p.m. – A Service of Remembrance for those who have lost a loved one to suicide will be held at Waconia Moravian Church. This community worship service will be a time to remember your loved one who has been lost to suicide. All are invited to this safe place to honor and celebrate the memories. You are invited to bring pictures or mementos that are meaningful to you. The service is ecumenical and all faith backgrounds are welcome. Refreshments will be served following the service. House of Moy fundraiser
Sat., April 26, 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. – Remember the House of Moy? The House of Moy chow mein and sweet and sour chicken memories will be celebrated at The Gillespie Center in Mound for a joint fund-raiser for The Westonka Historical Society and The Gillespie Center.
