Watertown plans Spring Community Cleanup

The city of Watertown is proud to sponsor its 27th annual Spring Community Cleanup.
Community Cleanup 2014 is scheduled for Saturday, April 26 at the Douglas Kugler Eco-Site located at 676 Industrial Blvd. The disposal site will be open from 8 to 11 a.m.
Watertown residents will be able to dispose of appliances, electronics, carpet, mattresses, sofas, chairs, automotive  batteries, tires (must be removed from rims), scrap metal, and miscellaneous household junk. Fluorescent bulbs along with household hazardous waste, including paint will also be accepted. Building materials and construction waste will not be accepted.

2014 Fee Schedule
• $5 – Single appliance or electronic
• $10 – Pickup/trailer
• $15 – Oversized pickup or trailer
• Car tires – Four allowed per household; over four, $5 each
• Tractor tires – $50
Keep in mind the Kugler Eco Site now has a thrift store in downtown Watertown. If you have furniture or household items that you think are re-usable, contact them at (952) 955-1130. The site will be open to all Carver County residents on this day. However, the aforementioned Community Cleanup rates will apply to city of Watertown residents only. Residents will be required to show either a Minnesota driver’s license or identification card.
No vehicles larger than a one-ton pickup, a standard cargo van or a normal snowmobile trailer will be allowed to enter the cleanup site.
Business waste will not be accepted.
