WATERTOWN CITY COUNCIL
Tuesday, April 8, 2014
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Watertown City Council was called to order at 6:36 p.m. on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 by Mayor Charlotte Johnson in the Watertown City Hall.
Upon Roll Call the following Council Members were present: Johnson, Adam Pawelk, Lindsay Guetzkow, Michael Walters and Steve Washburn. City Staff present: Interim City Administrator Mark Kaltsas and City Engineer Andrew Budde.
Other visitors and guests were present.
The following motions were approved by the Council:
2. Motion to adopt the agenda as presented. Motion carried 5-0.
3. Motion to adopt the consent agenda as presented. Motion carried 5-0.
6A. Motion to approve the employment contract for the new City Administrator, Shane Fineran. Motion carried 4-1 (Washburn voted nay).
6B. Motion to amend the Agenda to Add Item 6E Televising All Council Workshops and Meetings. Motion carried 4-1 (Washburn voted nay).
6C. Motion to go with Option Four for the center of the roundabout based on results of the public voting. Motion carried 5-0.
6D. Motion to hold a workshop Tuesday, May 13 to discuss a possible building permit incentive program with developers and builders. Motion carried 5-0.
6E. Motion that all future meetings, including workshops and special meetings (closed sessions excluded) will be televised or recorded for television and city website. Motion carried 5-0.
8. Motion to approve the claims rosters as presented. Motion carried 5-0.
9. There being no further business, the council meeting was adjourned at 8:25 p.m.
