Dakota Rail Trail to undergo resurfacing later this summer

A5-DRTresurfacingCMYKPark District staff are preparing for a microsurfacing project on the Dakota Rail Regional Trail in July and August. The project will repair surface deformations and improve the serviceability and ride quality of the regional trail. The project will be divided into four phases to stagger construction activities. Each phase will require approximately 10 days to complete, weather permitting.

• Phase 1: from St. Bonifacius to County Road 110

• Phase 2: from County Road 110 to County Road 51

• Phase 3: from the Arcola Rail Bridge to Wayzata

• Phase 4: from County Road 51 to the Arcola Rail Bridge in Minnetonka Beach

The trail will be closed during construction activities. Signs providing closure dates for each phase will be placed along each trail section approximately one week in advance, and trail users are asked to follow all construction signage during construction.
