Deputies respond to armed robbery in Chanhassen

Carver County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to an armed robbery at the Chanhassen Inn, located at 531 West 79th Street in Chanhassen, at approximately 3:55 a.m. on Thursday, July 3.

According to the complainant, two persons approached the complainant and engaged in conversation. During the contact, one of the suspects displayed a handgun and demanded cash. After receiving cash, the suspects then fled the business. The complainant was unharmed. Sheriff’s deputies conducted a ground search using K-9. Minnesota State Patrol conducted a search with their helicopter.

The suspects are identified as:

Suspect #1: Hispanic or Asian male, early 20’s in age, 6’2” in height and slender build. Suspect had a small patch of black facial hair under their chin. Clothing: black or navy blue baseball cap with “TC” in front, black zip up style “Nike” windbreaker, denim shorts, and black high top shoes.

Suspect #2: Caucasian male, early 20’s in age, approximately 5’4” to 5’6” in height, thin build with a short “buzz” style haircut. Clothing: blue “pull-over” style sweatshirt with a hood and front pocket pouch. Suspect was wearing faded black or grey jeans that were ragged on the bottom. Suspect is described as looking “really dirty.”
