LaVonne Luebke, 76

LaVonne C. Luebke, age 76, of Mayer, passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at her home.
Funeral Service held on Saturday July 12, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church (209 Bluejay Ave.), Mayer with Rev. Adam Gless officiating; visitation Friday 4 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service all at the church; chapel service 7:30 p.m. Friday evening; interment church cemetery.
LaVonne was born on Oct. 25, 1937 in Plymouth County, Iowa the daughter of William and Florence (Jelken) Jennings. She was baptized at her grandparents home in rural LeMars, Iowa and confirmed on March 25, 1951 at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Akron, Iowa. On Aug. 30, 1957 LaVonne was united in marriage to Norville A. Luebke at Salem Lutheran Church in Minneapolis.
LaVonne enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, going to many of their sporting events. Family was the center of her life. She had the gift to gab, visiting with anyone who was around her. LaVonne was very good at organizing trips for her and Norville, plotting out where they would stop for the night and the entertainment along the way. She had a great sense of humor and would love to play cards, 500 being her favorite. LaVonne would pass the time embroidering and sewing many different things.
LaVonne is preceded in death by her father William Jennings; sister Judy Tesch; brother-in-law Paul Stevens; father-in-law and mother-in-law Alfred and Meta Luebke.
LaVonne is survived by her loving family: husband Norville; children and spouses Thomas and Jody Luebke of Mayer, Steven and Sherry Luebke of Park Rapids, John Luebke of Charlotte, N.C., Rebecca El Bakkal of Atlanta, Ga.; foster son Michael Hardel and special friend Debbie; grandchildren Lindsay and Wyatt Getten, Brady Luebke, Tanner Luebke, Melissa and Jacob Buesgens, Holly Luebke and special friend Jason Ranzau, Matthew Luebke and special friend Vanessa Arneson; great-grandchildren Cooper, Carson, Lillia, William, Cole, Ashton, Ariya; step-grandchildren Raymond Pfeil, Jeanne Pfeil; step-great-grandchildren Jasmine, Hailey, Delainey and Joseph; mother Florence Jennings of Richfield; sister and brother-in-law LaNae and Jim Elliott of Richfield; sister-in-law and brothers-in-law Melba and Louis Honebrink of Mayer, Gerald Tesch; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Casket Bearers are Melissa and Jacob Buesgens, Lindsay and Wyatt Getten, Holly Luebke, Matthew Luebke, Brady Luebke, Tanner Luebke, Michael Hardel.
