Two stores are burglarized in Waconia

The Carver County Sheriff’s Office responded to a burglary reported at the Verizon Wireless Store, located at 716 Vista Blvd., and the Bella Nails and Spa, located immediately next door, in Waconia on Monday, July 14.

According to Sheriff Jim Olson, it appeared the burglars forced entry into Bella Nails and Spa by prying the rear door, then entering the Verizon Wireless store by going through the ceiling tiles and over the common wall, as well as cutting a hole through the sheetrock wall(s) leading into the storeroom of the Verizon Wireless Store. The burglars stole numerous electronic devices such as cell phones and an iPad, as well as cash.

Deputies were able to recover video surveillance of the crime which shows the incident occurred on at approximately 2:30 a.m. on Monday, July 14. The crime scene was processed by sheriff’s deputies and crime technicians using specific equipment and specialized training to collect evidence.

Detectives are continuing their investigation and will follow up on all investigative leads.
