Aletha Haugen, 80

Aletha I. Haugen, age 80, of St. Bonifacius, passed away on Friday, July 25, 2014 at the Good Samaritan Center in Waconia.
Memorial Service Wednesday July 30, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waconia with Rev. Dave Erbel officiating; visitation one hour prior to the service on Wednesday; interment in the church cemetery.
Aletha was born on Dec. 10, 1933 in Minneapolis, the daughter of Gustav and Mabel (Peltz) Kratzke. Aletha was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waconia by Rev. Schneider. On June 18, 1966 Aletha was united in marriage to Donald Haugen at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waconia by Rev. Stehr.
Aletha was an avid reader, always having a thirst for learning new things. She sang in the Guitar Choir at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waconia along with her husband. Aletha traveled the countryside, going on many family vacations. She loved nature, walking the trails whenever she had the chance. One of her favorite activities was the water exercise class held at Safari Island. Aletha thoroughly enjoyed their trips to the family cabin.
Aletha was preceded in death by her husband Donald; father and mother Gustav and Mabel Kratzke; brothers Warren (Marcella) Kratzke, Earl (Diane) Kratzke; sisters Joy Johnson, LaVerne Mullen; sister-in-law Joyce Haugen.
Aletha is survived by her loving family: son Thor Haugen of Minneapolis; sister and brothers-in-law Faith and Charles Anderson of Norwood Young America, Richard Mullen of Grey Cloud Island; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law James Haugen of Elbow Lake, Paul and Janice Haugen of Montana, Joanne and Brad Bremer of Lake Tulaby, Delores Hendrickson of Bayfield, Wis.; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Arrangements are with the Johnson Funeral Home in Waconia;
