Lynch leading in commissioner race

Frank Long is challenging incumbent Tim Lynch in the District 4 Carver County Commissioner primary, with the top two vote getters moving on to the general election in November. This is a non-party affiliated race. Lynch does have a 317 to 176 advantage with just 2 of 7 precincts reporting. Lynch is getting strong support in Ward I of Waconia with 212 votes, while Long has 107. Al Luenther is a distant third right now with a total of 33 votes in both precincts. Lynch also has a comfortable 105 to 69 edge in Watertown Township.
