In the Carver County Commissioner District 4 race in the Primary Election on Tuesday, Aug. 12, incumbent Tim Lynch (909 votes) and Frank Long (504 votes) advanced to the General Election, which will be held Nov. 4. Al Leuthner (117 votes) finished third.
The results create a rematch between Lynch and Long, who ran against each other for this Commissioner position in 2012 General Election. Lynch won that race, receiving 5,979 votes to Long’s 3,414 votes.
Lynch was first elected to the Carver County Board in 2004 and has served three terms. Long, a former Carver County Republican chairman, was seeking office for the first time in 2012.
