Hamburg, NYA holds serve

Hamburg and Norwood Young America City Councils held serve on Tuesday, with the majority of incumbents retaining their seats.

In NYA, Mayor Tina Diedrick was reelected as mayor, earning 96.09 percent, or 959 votes.

Also, Carol Lagergren and Jim Keller both retained their seats on the council, earning 44.97 percent or 792 votes and 41.17 percent or 725 votes, respectively. Challenger Francis Green won 13.23 percent, or 233 votes.

Unchallenged, Hamburg Mayor Richard Malz (73.37 percent, 124 votes) as well as council members Chris Lund, Steven Trebesch and Robert Gregonis all won their seats.
