Carver County Sheriff Jim Olson announces the newest members of the Sheriff’s Mounted Posse, noting that this year was an especially good year for the Carver County Sheriff’s Office Mounted Posse and the citizens of Carver County. The Mounted Posse, which recently accepted eight new members to the volunteer organization, assists with services that are a great benefit to the citizens of Carver County.

Some of the services the Posse assists with are: school and public outreach visits, search & rescue requests, park and city patrol, security for events such as Stiftungsfest, Carver County Fair, and A Taste of Minnesota. They participate in parades, crime scene security, levee security and various other duties as requested by Olson.
