LTE: Please don’t allow Syrian refugees in the U.S.

To the editor,
In the wake of the Paris terrorist attacks, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.) said “President Obama is not interested in protecting the United States”. Senator Cruz is quite right. Barack Obama’s rejection of the Keystone pipeline (with its thousands of jobs and huge reduction of our dependence on Middle Eastern oil), and his horrendous agreement giving Iran $100 billion and the option to build nuclear weapons in a few years validate Senator Cruz’s point. So does Obama’s premature, pre-announced decision to vacate Iraq and create the vacuum that ISIS has so violently and predictably exploited, and his recent decision to give up American control of the Internet to a world body. Now Barack Obama and Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar want to bring in 10,000 Syrian refugees, and the big lie is that we can properly vet them all. Not a chance, and they know it! There’s absolutely no way of knowing who these people are, and ISIS terrorists will inevitably be among them, and will eventually attack Americans here at home. (Hundreds of Syrian refugees were just unloaded in New Orleans – Perhaps Obama and his rubber stamp, Sen Klobuchar, think these refugees remembered to bring their Driver Licenses and birth certificates!)

Homeland Security Director Jeh Johnson said last month. “It is true that we’re not going to know a whole lot about the Syrians that come forth in this (refugee) process,’’ and FBI Director James Comey recently acknowledged an estimated 900 active investigations pending against suspected Islamic State-inspired operatives and other homegrown violent extremists across the country.

Former New Orleans FBI chief and anti-terrorism expert Jim Bernazzani: “If I was in charge of ISIL, logistically I’d take advantage of this situation and put my people in, into the United States,”
Obama said just a few hours before the Paris attacks of Friday that ISIS was being contained. Was this ignorance or dishonesty? I don’t believe Barack Obama’s remarks indicate that he’s misguided. Rather, they confirm an agenda that’s already been manifested in many ways, that of diminishing American influence on the world stage and weakening economic strength and opportunity domestically. This is the goal of Obama and the Left in general, including the educators and journalists who twice convinced Americans to vote for Obama.

Americans must come to grips with the consequences of Obama’s long term vision, because it poses a huge threat to our safety and standard of living at home and our interests abroad!
