With the schedule picking up after a week of rain, Central baseball went 1-3 in road games this past week.

Belle Plaine doubleheader
Central opened the week by splitting a doubleheader with Belle Plaine on Thursday with a 7-1 win and a 3-2 loss.
According to head coach Jon Wroge, Zach Stockman pitched really well in the opener with Jordan Harms getting the final out of the seventh.
Offensively, Matthew Johnson had a couple of hits, Stockman had a big hit and Reed Wischnack had a 2-run single.
“We took advantage of some errors that they had,” said Wroge. “That was a huge win.”
The second game was close with Belle Plaine opening a 2-1 lead over Cade Zellmann in the first two innings before Jordan Harms finished the inning with a pair of strikeouts as well as the game for the Raiders.
Central tied the game in the fourth inning, but Belle Plaine managed to score the deciding run in the bottom of the sixth.
“We had some opportunities, but we just didn’t execute,” said Wroge.

Facing a section opponent, Central lost to Litchfield on Friday on a walk-off hit, 3-2.
Carter Milbrett started the game for Central, going 4 1/3 innings and giving up two runs.
Offensively, Carter Clemensen led off the game with a homerun, Matthew Johnson had a pair of hits and Stockman added a hit as well.
“Zach, Matthew and Carter have really been swinging the bats well of late,” said Wroge.

Central was edged by MRC opponent LeSueur-Henderson on Monday, 4-3 in five innings because of rain.
The Raiders did score a run to go up 3-2 in the top of the fifth inning, but the Giants managed to score two runs off Central pitcher Jordan Harms, in relief of starter Zach Stockman, in the fifth before the game was called.
Offensively, Carter Clemensen and Stockman each had hits and Matthew Johnson with 3-for-3 with a single, double and a triple.
