Larry A. Timmers

Larry A. Timmers, age 73 of Carver, passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at the Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at 11 a.m. at St. Victoria Catholic Church (8228 Victoria Drive) in Victoria with Fr. Martin Shallbetter and Fr. Robert White as concelebrants of the Mass. Visitation Monday, June 5, 2017 from 4-8 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home in Waconia and one hour prior to the Mass at the Church. Interment in Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.

Hilarion “Larry” Alphonse Timmers was born November 3, 1943 in Victoria, the son of Joseph and Rose Mary (Reus) Timmers. After graduating from the Chaska High School, Larry enlisted in the United States Army where he served during the Vietnam War until receiving his Honorable Discharge.

On February 24, 1968, Larry was united in marriage with Diane Devick. This union was blessed with children Steven, Hilly and Anna. Larry worked in the printing business for most of his life. He loved fishing trips to Alaska, spending time at his lake home on Grove Lake, and deer hunting. Larry cherished spending time with his family.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Rose Mary; sisters and brother-in-law Mary Lou Ulrich, Betty and Richard Sehm; brother-in-law Earl Kaufhold.

Larry is survived by his loving family: wife Diane Timmers; children Steven Timmers and special friend Deb Koepp of Cologne, Hilly Timmers and fiancée Lisa Schoknecht of Cologne, Anna and Don Wickenhauser of Cologne; grandchildren Megan Timmers, Hilary Wickenhauser, Jack Wickenhauser, Vincent Wickenhauser; sisters and brother-in-law Clare Kaufhold of Starbuck, Arlene and Leo Solarz of Shakopee; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Joseph and Bonnie Devick, James and Barb Devick, Doug Devick, David and Teresa Dahl; aunt Cecilia Heitz; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Serving as casket bearers Larry’s children and grandchildren.
