Ralph J. Buckentine

Ralph J. Buckentine, age 79, of Chaska, passed away on Monday, August 28, 2017 at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.
Funeral Service Thursday, August 31, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Zoar United Church of Christ, 7030 Hwy 212 East, Chaska with Rev. Penny Entringer officiating; Visitation Wednesday 4-8 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home in Waconia and one hour prior to the service at church; interment Zoar United Church of Christ Cemetery.
Ralph was born on June 8, 1938 in Dahlgren Twp. the son of Henry and Lydia Buckentine. He was baptized and confirmed at Zoar United Church of Christ in Chaska. On May 17, 1958 Ralph was united in marriage to Maxine Otto at Zoar United Church of Christ in Chaska by Rev. Frenzmier.
Ralph was most content when he was working up the land at his farm. Farming was his life, he spent most of his days working alongside his son John. Ralph would love to spend time with his grandchildren, teasing them was one of his favorite things to do. He and Maxine would take their Sunday afternoon drives checking out the beautiful countryside. Ralph liked to watch wrestling and have a bowl of popcorn for his entertainment.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Lydia Buckentine; sisters Lydia (Orville) Zehnder, Darlene (Ray) Herrmann; brothers Henry and Reuben Buckentine; father-in-law and mother-in-law Harold and Florence Otto; brother-in-law Melvin Otto; sister-in-law Hazel Otto.
Ralph is survived by his loving family: wife Maxine; sons Greg Buckentine of Carver, Alan (Nancy) Buckentine of Cologne, John (Jean) Buckentine of Chaska, Daryl Buckentine and special friend Jeanie of Norwood Young America, Randy Buckentine and fiancée Linda of Chaska; grandchildren Brooke (Matt) Simones, Megan Buckentine, Adam Buckentine and fiancée Lisa, Heidi Buckentine, Mike (Mckenzie) Buckentine, Katie Buckentine and fiance Brandon, Anna Buckentine, Nathan, Gavin Buckentine, Carter Buckentine, Tyler Buckentine, Sammy, Andy; great-grandchildren Henry and Arthur Simones; sisters Margreth (Charles) Koehler of St. Louis Park, Pearl Lenzen of Granite Falls; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law Betty (Duane) Schneewind of Cologne, Virginia Bessel of Belle Plaine; nieces, nephews other relative and friends.
Casket Bearers are his sons.
