Beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, auntie and friend, Kelly Anna Roush of Waconia, MN passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 after a medical condition while driving.
Her incredible spirit, joy and talents was celebrated at a funeral service on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at 5 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church (800 Waconia Parkway North) in Waconia with Rev. Dale Peterson as officiant. Visitation was Monday, September 4, 2017 from 4-7 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home (141 East First Street) in Waconia and at the church one hour prior to the service
Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers.
Kelly Anna (Leen) Roush was born in Waconia on July 9, 1981 to Vern and Terri Leen. Kelly was a graduate of the Waconia High School, Class of 1999, the University of Minnesota, Crown College, and Hennepin Technical College. She was married to Cody Roush on July 26, 2014. They were expecting their first baby Crosby Lambert on December 1, 2017. Kelly’s infectious smile and laughter brought joy to all her family from the School of the Wise in Victoria and to her coworkers and volunteers at Waconia Ridgeview Hospital where she was a Volunteer Coordinator. Kelly enjoyed outdoor activities such as camping, kayaking, gardening, campfires, and most of all swimming and water activities. She was also in the Bell Choir at Faith Lutheran Church and was a coordinator for the Easter Basket Project for the Waconia Food Shelf. She was the light of her many nieces and nephews’ lives. Her love of children touched the lives of all she met. She was a vibrant, selfless person with an incredible love for life.
Kelly was preceded in death by her grandfathers Donald Shaw Cameron and George Leen; grandmother LaVerne Evans; grandparents-in-law Lambert and Lucille Greene, Dewey and Loretta Roush; aunt Tracy Cameron; aunts-in-law Judy Roush and Susan Munson.
Kelly is survived by her husband Cody Roush; parents Vern and Terri Leen and Cody’s parents Lynn and Patty Roush; brother Mike and his wife Erika and nephews Braxtyn and Brody Leen; sister Stacey Meiser and her husband Chris and nephews Preston and Cameron and niece Madelyn Meiser; brother-in-law Jesse and his wife Emilie and nieces Alexandra, Teagan and Isabel Roush; brother-in-law Travis and his wife Kelly Roush; grandmother Elsie Cameron; many aunts, uncles and cousins; best friend and surrogate sister Ashley Marston and dog Maebe; other relatives and many friends.
