Roger A. Graupmann

Roger A. Graupmann, age 68 of Waconia, died Saturday, September 2, 2017 in Pine River.
Memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Friday, September 8, 2017 at Trinity Lutheran Church (601 E. Second St.) in Waconia with Rev. Phil Wagner as officiant. Gathering of family and friends was 4-7 p.m. Thursday at the Johnson Funeral Home (141 E. First St.) in Waconia and Friday one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
Roger Allen Graupmann was born on December 17, 1948 in Glencoe, the son of Hubert and Mabel (Norton) Graupmann. He was baptized and confirmed at the First Ev. Lutheran Church in Glencoe. Roger graduated from the Glencoe High School. On September 9, 1967, Roger was united in marriage with Charlene M. Noeldner. This union was blessed with children Brian, Terry and Jodi.
Roger was employed for Thermo King for 45 years. He was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church where he had served as an usher and often volunteered for the Feed My Starving Children project. Roger also was a devoted volunteer for the Carver County Fair and Waconia’s Nickle Dickle Day.
Roger enjoyed fishing, hunting turkey and being in the outdoors. He looked forward to trips to the cabin and would often have all the maintenance done before others would arrive. Roger loved finishing the day watching television with his wife Char. He was an avid Twins and Vikings fan.
Roger cherished his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved taking his grandchildren to Safari Island and out for ice cream. Roger was always there to help others. He was loving, caring, helpful and dependable to everyone.
Roger is preceded in death by his parents Hubert and Mabel Graupmann; grandchild Skye Graupmann; father-in-law and mother-in-law Lawrence and Marion Noeldner; brother-in-law Dennis Noeldner.
Roger is survived by his loving family: wife Char Graupmann of Waconia; sons and daughters-in-law Brian and Renee Graupmann of Belle Plaine, Terry Graupmann and Vouchleng Oeng of Norwood Young America; daughter and son-in-law Jodi and Bryce Grady of Apple Valley; grandchildren Alex, Ariel, Lily and Piper Graupmann, Louden and Vince Grady, and a grandchild to be born very soon; brother and sister-in-law Kenneth and Mary Graupmann of Kadoka, South Dakota; sister and brother-in-law Shirley and Robert Buckentin of Hamburg; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Bob and Kathy Noeldner of Minnetonka, Rick and Robin Noeldner of Waconia; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
