During the month of May, students at Central Elementary learned about perseverance. The students pictured above were recognized by teachers for going above the expectations and continuously showing perseverance. We would like to thank the students and staff for a successful year learning about different character traits and showing Raider Pride.

Envirothon team advisor Jim Mesik brought seven students from Central High School to participate in the Metro Area Envirothon in Chaska at the Landscape Arboretum on Thursday, May 2. Due to unseasonably cold weather and a threat of possible snowfall, the event was indoors for the day. Still, the students enjoyed the competition, which included highly competitive stations for soils, wildlife, forestry and aquatics. Additionally, there was a current events topic presentation on a cattle grazing plan.
